The fire station is situated at 200, Miner Street (near Albany Street) and it houses all of the equipement as well as administration offices.
The Fire Fighters rely on a choice of specialized equipment :
- Foam application equipment for petrochemical fires
- Thermal camera - to locate heat generating points and victims
- thermal detector - to evaluate heat sources
- gas detectors
- protection equipment and equipment for interventions
involving dangerous products
- winches, tripods, harnasses and cabling for
interventions in confined spaces
- rescue baskets
- ventilation equipment
- “jaws of life” and jacking cushions
- plugs, seals and other similar equipment
